STRAWBERRY STRUDEL

150 ml milk
15 g corn starch
100 ml whipping cream
3 yolks
40 g sugar
1 sheet of puff pastry
200 g strawberries
2 tbs cane sugar
1 egg for brushing on top
powdered sugar

Mix cornstarch in bit of milk. Bring rest of milk and whipping cream to boil, remove from heat. Beat yolks with sugar, add cca 1/3 of milk, cornstarch mix, stir well. Mix in the rest of the milk and bring back to boil while constantly stirring until it thickens. Remove from heat, let cool.
On floured surface roll out the dough, spread the cream mixture on, layer with strawberries, sprinkle with sugar and roll like a strudel. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with beaten egg. Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for about 45 min. Serve sliced, dusted with powdered sugar.
