600 g filo dough
300 g ground meat
2 onions
1 1/2 cup of rice
1 cup frozen peas
2 tbs pine nuts (or almonds)
seasoning : vegeta, old fashioned Czech spices, caraway seed, curry
1 egg for brushing
Boil rice with curry, vegeta and peas. Sautee onion, add ground meat, season and cook until done. Mix in the rice
and roasted pine nuts. Let cool. Divide into 12 equal portions.
Roll out the filo dough and cut into 12 pcs (cca 15 x 15 cm). Wrap portion of meat/rice mixture in each using a small floured bowl
as a holder. Transfer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with egg. Bake 15-20 min at 180 C.
It is possible to add cheese into the mixture if you desire.
