Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients, form dough and let rest for 30 min.
  2. Roll out into a sheet about 2 mm thick, cut into squares.
  3. Cut a cross in the middle of each one.
  4. Fry from both sides, lay out on paper towel to dry the oil and then roll in sugar.

  1. Beat whites until peak. Beat yolks, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and 2 tbs of plum jelly until smooth and thick. Add flour and baking powder. Carefully fold in the whites. Bake in buttered and floured form.

  1. Melt butter and let cool.Mix flour, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and ground lemon peel. Let the yeast rise in milk, spoon of sugar and bit of flour, pour into the dry mix. Add yolks, whipping cream and at the end melted butter (raisins and nuts if desired). Kneed the dough by hand, dust with flour and let rise at warm place for 1 hour. Make two loaves, place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let rise additional 15 min. Brush with egg, with sharp knife cut a cross on top. Bake at 180 C. Brush with egg again after 20 min of baking, sprinkle with shaved almonds and finish baking for another 30 min. Done when toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

4 eggs (whip the whites)
100 g powdered sugar
200 ml oil
200 ml milk
1 tbs baking powder
lemon peel

Beat yolks with sugar. Add flour, baking powder, finely grinded lemon peel. Then milk, oil, mix really well whipped whites. Bake for 45 min like a bunt cake.

(dough just le for marbled bunt cake)

4 eggs (whip the whites)
1 cup oil
1 cup milk
250 g flour
250 g sugar
1 vanilla sugar
cocoa powder (about 20 g)
grinded lemon peel

Beat together yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add flour, oil, milk. Mix until smooth. Fold in whipped whites.
Divide the dough in half, color one half with cocoa and add the lemon peel in the other (make little more of the light one).
Pour into floured forms, first the light part then add the dark in the middle with a teaspoon.
Bake 20-25 min in oven preheat to 360 °F.
